How an engagement is commissioned.

Outreach is a principal-led practice. The Director leads every engagement and is accountable for it; technical associates and local collaborators join as a project needs them. That shape suits defined institutional engagements, adviser roles inside larger programs and consortium work, and it keeps the advice close to the person giving it.

Three ways we are engaged

Direct engagements
Quality assurance reviews, governance diagnostics, strategic mentoring, professional development and management-system assignments commissioned by a single institution or authority, under a defined scope and fee.
Technical adviser and consortium roles
Specialist contributions to programs led by development contractors, Australian training organisations, universities and international agencies, as a named adviser, a subcontractor or a consortium member.
Government and development-agency assignments
Skills system reviews, institutional capacity development, TVET strategy and implementation support and educational quality projects, secured through the relevant procurement process.

Engagements that can be scoped and commissioned.

Durations are planning assumptions, settled once the scope and the institution are understood. The diagnostic is the usual first step: substantive, bounded, and a sound basis for anything longer.

What we hold ourselves to.

Locally led
On international work, national counterparts and local partners take part in design and decisions, not only delivery. The aim of any engagement is that it ends with the institution able to continue without us.
Inclusion by design
Gender equality, disability equity and social inclusion are treated as design questions from the first week: who the program reaches, who it misses, and what would change that.
Safeguarding
We work to the child protection and prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment expectations of the programs we contribute to, and we expect the same of any associate we bring.
Monitoring, evaluation and learning
Every engagement sets out what will be measured and when. We would rather report an honest result than a flattering one.
Plain claims
We say what we have done and where. We do not present charitable work the Director has been part of as corporate projects, and we do not claim partnerships that do not yet exist.

Where to start

Write to enquiries@outreach-education.com with a few lines on the institution or program and the question you are facing. We will reply with a short note on whether and how we can help, and propose a conversation. If a formal expression of interest or tender process applies, tell us and we will respond through that channel instead.

Or use the contact page

Tell us what you are working on.

The first conversation costs nothing and tells both of us whether we should work together.
